Terraza 48: This farm-to-table restaurant is strictly loyal to local and national ingredients; every dish is a taste of Mexico’s native flavors and the way local farmers honor their relationship to place and time. They have a varied cocktail menu, and appetizers that might even make you skip the entrée: a regional cheese and charcuterie board, a ceviche frutal de tamarindo, and their popular tamal de maíz tierno. The view is no less enthralling; centrally located, you’ll drink and dine with a backdrop of the main parroquia and other churches lined along its path. The service is also spectacular. Founding Chef Daniel Arrona believes life’s raw material is time; and we think Terraza 48 is a great way to spend it while you’re in SMDA.

San Mezcal: This bar is centered around mezcal, with hand-crafted cocktails like the Carajada (made with Espadín, natural simple syrup, cinnamon and coffee) and the Xoloitzcuincle (made with Espadín, grapefruit, agave nectar and lime). But we enjoyed the food as much as we did the drinks: from their Jicama salad to their Seared Salmon Carpaccio and their Citrus Poached Prawns 😋They may not have a view, but the vibe, service and innovative culinary experience made us come back!
