We're on a roll with workshops and events this year. We've already scheduled a year's worth of activities for you to join us in—check out what's upcoming here—and a few days ago we had our second Lettering & Painting Workshop & Wine Wednesday.
This time around, it was the Self-Love Mantra, Creating Artwork for Inspiration with Basics of Lettering taught, again, by our very own Lizelly Meza. Last time we had many of you ask for a space in the workshop, so this time we let a few more of you attend, and we're happy to say we had a full house of enthusiastic ladies-and what seems is the obligatory single gentleman.
Here is an overview of what we learned and the fun that was had. Just check out the colorful art everyone created and their happy faces!
Stay tuned 'til the end for a few tips Lizelly shared, and a chance to get your very own workbook, like the one we used, to guide you in coming up with your Self-Love Mantra … plus a few Basics of Lettering, too.
3 Steps to Finding Your Self-Love Mantra
Think of a moment in life when you've yearned to feel better?
E.g.: stress at work, love woes, family spats. You may go as deep as you'd like or keep it simple and light. The point in the end is to have fun.
What FEELING is most important for you to live and return to during those stressful moments?
E.g.: happy, joyful, peaceful, sexy, vibrant, confident, inspired, artistic, loved, creative, worthy, abundant, etc. Think of what will make you feel lighter, what you imagine it feels like to be without the stress from above.
What word or phrase will help guide you towards feeling better based on your feeling from above?
This can be a single word or simple phrase. This is your Self-Love Mantra
We hope you enjoyed this introduction into finding your Self-Love Mantra. If you want to go deeper, make sure to visit Lizelly's website where she'll share the full guide to brainstorming words, art, and the basics of lettering for you to create your own inspiring art piece like we did.
