As you read this post, I'll have been in this beautiful city for the past couple of days, all in preparation for two more tours I'll be leading in the magical city of Oaxaca.
Many people have loved traveling to Oaxaca with our Eat.Drink.Cook.Mexico. tours, but in all honesty, I don't think as much as I've loved sharing my favorite city with them. — If you want to travel to Oaxaca with me, read to the end for some exciting news!
Oaxaca has a very special place in my heart. The warmth of the people, the architecture, the food, the art … just the overall spirit of the city is enough to make anyone fall head-over-heels for her.
The simple act of strolling through the streets and soaking in the essence of the city is the perfect way to get our tours started. After settling in and meeting your fellow travelers over our first lunch together, we head out and let you experience Oaxaca for the first time.
Through the duration of the trip, we walk through the many markets and taste the delicious foods the vendors offer. Many say Oaxacan cuisine is at the heart of Mexican gastronomy. I couldn't agree more, but I'll let you be the judge of that as we have the privilege of learning from a National Geographic-recognized chef in the comfort of her private home.
Visits with local artisans and trying your hand at typical crafts, lunching with local business women as they share about their 'artesanias', and day-tripping to surrounding indigenous ruins are all just a small taste of what we'll enjoy together.
Soak in the colors, the smells, the textures, and the sounds through these images … all this combined creates a memory unlike any other.

Hello, I have a Question from my mother. She would like to know if you still have spots available for the August trip to San Miguel de allende I believe is that one. If so can you send me the link? I’ve been having problems finding it. Thank you & have a nice day. This msj can be private
Couldn’t agree more! Elexia is an amazing host and tour guide. The city comes alive through her meticulously planned itinerary and is definitely one of the best gastronomic experiences I’ve had. Can’t wait to go back!
